Final Digipak & Advert A.R.

Final Digipak and Advert

Digipak & Advert Final Design

Since getting my comments back for my draft digipak, I have used them to improve and create my final digipak. One of the big improvements that I have made on my digipak is the font. I made this change as I felt the old font looked old fashioned and didn't really suit the type of genre I was aiming at, so I changed it to a much bolder and indie font, Bebas Kai. Another change that I made to my digipak was that I downsized a lot of the text as it was far too large on the draft and made it looked slightly cluttered. The barcode was also another issue that I had to change, this is because the old one was far too large and did not use a white background, the new barcode however is a much better size and features the white background with is appropriate for an album. I also made a minor improvement to the album's images. These included using larger squares in order to see their faces and eyes clear.

The same changes that I made on my digipak, I made on my advert. This is because I still wanted to keep the same thing and feature the album cover photo on the poster. The changes I have made include the advert's font, as it is now a more modern and larger font. It is also the same font as the one I have used for my digipak. The record company logo has also been altered as I have downsized it and made it less obvious.

Digipak Journey

1. The idea started from looking at art work and sketches that used geometric shape and had a forth dimension feel about it. After seeing this type of work I knew that I wanted to used shapes in my work. (1&2)

2. I then went on to get inspiration from the square art work by the artist Piet Mondrian. I especially enjoyed the piece Composition ll. These pieces inspired me to use these straight edged shapes for my digipak and advert (3, 4 & 5).

3. From this, I then started to look at mosaic pieces that used the small coloured squares, a little bit like the Piet Mondrian artwork except the squares are the same size as it creates a pattern. After finding this piece I knew that I wanted to use same size squares and would further my research into this. (6)

4. I followed on by looking at work from the artist Peter Blake. His work is very pop art and really stands out in comparison to my other research. (7)

5. Following on from this, I looked further into the square patterns, however I also looked into black and white versions of square grid art. After this I decided that I definitely wanted my digipak and advertisement to incorporate the black and white theme as it looks sophisticated and simple. (8)

6. The next step I took was to start looking at different albums that incorporated the same sort of ideas as this. One album I was specifically interested in was the album 'More Songs About Buildings and Food' by 'The Talking Heads' (9)

7. I then went on to get inspiration from more album artwork, and there was one that I particularly liked. This was the album 'Atlas' by 'Real Estate' and the reason I liked it so much was because it acquired the same style square art that I have been researching into and it also uses a very simplistic design, which made me decide that I also wanted to incorporate this into my digipak and advert. (11)

8. Following this, I soon started looking at album covers that used black and white images. The Clash's album stood out to me as the black and white effect is just right as is not too light and it's not too dark, it also involves a few members of the band. This is what I want for my band's album as it would then stand out over others. (12)

9. Whilst looking through my old CD's, I stumbled across King's Of Leon's first album 'Youth & Young Manhood'. When looking at the album I noticed that the inside panels of the digipak used the same conventions that I want to use for my album. This is when I decided that I wanted to use this concept for the inside panel/panels of my digipak in order to keep a theme going throughout it. (13)

10. After this I went on to look at more albums to get some more ideas for my front cover of it. From this I found three albums that I really enjoyed. The first album was 'What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?' by The Vaccines. I chose this album because it used a very simplistic and bold album cover as it uses a square picture in the centre and the bands name just above so it is definitely something I would want to incorporate into my design. The second album was 'Unknown Pleasures' by Joy Division, which also used an image in the centre of the cover. It is also black and white in order to stand out more. The final album that I looked at was 'Chat And Business' by Ikara Colt and was my favourite album that I looked at. The reason for this is because It uses a black and white theme and also the geometric white squares which are the highlight of the cover. It also features the bands name in the top left hand corner, showing who it is by. These are the types of factors in which I want to use for my digipak and advert. (14,15&16)

11. The next stage of the journey was to put all of my research together and create a draft digipak and advert. I chose the image of my two band members and made it black and white. I then disfigured and cut the image up to make a grid of squares and placed the image in the exact centre of the panel. I also decided to use the bands name 'The Franks' just below the image. (17)

12. After adjusting the image and and making the squares larger, I decided to keep the changes. I also made my mind up to change the font to a more modern and 'indie' style which was more suitable to my target audience.  (18&19)

iPhone Filming

As we decided that we were definitely going to use an iPhone 5c to film our music video, we did not have much equipment to take as we only needed the iPhone in terms of the filming. When at the location, there was not a lot of setting up to do and we were very quick to start filming. This was because we only had to sort out the instruments and the speakers, instead of setting up a tripod and other camera accessories. Whilst filming, we found that the iPhone video camera was extremely easy to use, especially in comparison to the HD camera which was used for the draft music video. After taking a few of the shots on the iPhone, we went back and observed them to check whether or not they were up to the standard which we wanted. What we found was that the videos looked very clear and smooth which is what we wanted. When the videos were uploaded to the computers we found that the videos looked even better, especially when the black and white effect was used. We also took more shots than expected, in order to make sure we did not have a lack of different shots or camera angles when editing. Overall we are very pleased with the result that we got from filming the music video on our iPhone, even though there was a high risk of something going wrong, it is fair to say that we achieved what we wanted.

iPhone Research

When researching into how music videos are made and the best techniques used, we found that some people have used their iPhone 5's to film music videos and even movies. Looking further into this we found that it would definitely be possible for us to use this type of film making and try something a bit more different which doesn't follow the conventions of a typical indie genre music video. It is not like the camera is awful because it is actually a high quality camera with good reviews and praise. We know that there are some risks involved as these videos do not always work and look to a professional level, but if done right It can give the music video its own unique look. We have decided to use this technique after we had trouble with our draft and the HD camera which was used. The problems we faced were that the camera struggled to focus and was very poor with the battery life also.

The pieces  of work in which we found this idea include the following:

Uneasy Lies The Mind -

This is the first narrative feature film to be shot entirely on an iPhone. In an interview with GizMag, director Ricky Fosheim said "The iPhone 'look' that I created fit the story, mood, tone, and the character's inner psyche way more than any other traditional camera could have". Though the iPhone video camera was perfect for convenience and portability, it predictably had its downfalls compared to standard professional film equipment, including a relatively low battery life and trouble performing in cold weather. Fosheim also said "I'm not advocation for everyone to go shoot their next movie on the iPhone, but if you can find a creative and plausible way to make it work, then I would encourage you to take as many risks as you can and try to push the limits".

Flakjakt - "Cascades" -

Cascades is a music video by the artist Flakjakt (Steve Failows). It is also the first official iPhone 4 music video that was made. iPhones have been used to shoot amateurish music videos for years now, but professional-grade videos can be achieved as well. The music video was created by both the artist Flakjakt, and director Marty Martin who collaborated together to create an original song, "Cascades", specifically for this iPhone 4 shoot.

Searching For Sugar Man -

Searching for Sugar Man, an Oscar-winning documentary for Best Feature Documentary, is also another feature which uses the iPhone. Although only a few of the movie scenes were shot with an iPhone, it is still used non the less. The reason for the director, Malik Bendjelloul, using these iPhone shots was because they simply lack of money, so they decided to use a much cheaper filming option with a lot of risks, but it paid off in the end. The majority of the film was shot on Super 8mm film, and the iPhone scenes were shot with the 8mm Vintage Camera app, which includes the bar scene in the beginning of the movie where the producers discover Rodriguez.

Mac 30th Anniversary Video -

Only a few months ago for the Mac's 30th anniversary, Apple released a 125 second iPhone 5s video showing the the company's fulfilment of its promise to "put technology in the hands of the people" over the course of one day. It's a must see for apple fans and really shows off the camera quality on the iPhone 5s.

Peer Feedback for Video Draft A.R.

Peer Feedback for Our Video Draft
Sanjay Patel -

"Hi Alex!
For a draft, your work is at a very high standard. It is clear that you and Will have put lots of effort in to be successful!
Changes needed -
Focus the camera to ensure that the video looks professional.
Ensure that the band look enthusiastic!
And have some more focus on your band members (Derry) "

This was the email we received from Sanjay Patel for our music video draft. From these comments we were able to see that we need to either use another camera (which we later  do and experiment with), or to learn how to use the camera that we were using at the time so that we can get the best video possible. As the song is a fast pace, up tempo song, the feedback that the band should look more enthusiastic was taken on board which is why we believe that for our final video will need to have the band looking more enthusiastic to create more tempo in the song. In addition to this we will need to add more focus on the lead people / instruments in the band, such as the drums and the singer.

Chloe Phillips -

"This is a good video to have produced for your draft. obviously i can see you haven't got all the shots you wanted yet and i would encourage that you change your piano player, as he doesn't look the part, maybe even a new drummer too that can play in time with the sounds. I would even go to say that maybe not include shots of audience because the band look the part and would look good on their own being filmed. well done looking forward to your final product."

From this feedback we have decided that we are going to have to alter the band around, especially for the drummer as they are very influential in the song so there will be a lot of focus on them, which means that they will need to be in sync with the song. We will have to ensure that we use an actual drummer so that they will have the correct rhythm for the song. For our final video we are going to film the band on the stage and on the stage only instead of including audience shots. This is because we believe it will be too difficult to create a realistic setting and rely on people turning up.

Plan of Action For Improvements A.R.

Preparation
  • We are filing our music video for the final version of our music video. This time we are a lot more prepared and we know exactly what we need to do after the feedback and our experience from the first time round. We know the key areas that we need to improve on, and how we need to make the band look more enthusiastic as it represents the song.
  • We are using the same venue as last time, The Soundhouse in Leicester as we were well looked after last time we went and the lighting person was a huge help to us and I believe he can make our video look excellent with the inclusion of the chaining lights and the smoke effect used towards the end.
  • We have devised our own list for what we need to take, which has improved upon last time as we now will be able to include everything needed and we won't forget anything that is key for our filming.

Feedback For Our Music Video A.R.

Feedback For Our Music Video

As we expected, there are a lot of things that we can do to improve our video as we made many mistakes that we have learnt from. The benefit of making these mistakes first time round are that when we create our final video, we will have the knowledge to know how to produce a higher quality video, we need to:

    - Focus the camera and even use a tripod, and the reason for this is that it will allow for us to take clearer camera shots so that our video looks more realistic and is of a higher standard. This will improve our video a lot because the main problem is that it looks very blurred and it makes the video lose its realistic look.
    - Another thing that we can make sure of is that the bassist (Will Jones), hasn't got chewing gum in his mouth, which he has consistently through. This makes it lose the realistic approach as you would never see a band member with chewing gum in their mouth whilst they are performing.
    -  Derry Foran (our lead singer) has to be more clear with his vocals when singing so it can be easier for the audience to understand what he is signing, and it makes it difficult for us to make the music and song in sync with what he is singing. At times he also hides behind the microphone so you can't see what he is saying, and this is another thing we need to work on, to make sure he stands back enough so that you can see what he is singing.
     - As we didn't notice throughout, our keyboardist, Ali Lord, makes many mistakes throughout which ruin the video a lot. He pulls numerous 'unusual' faces which don't  suit the look that we are going for at all, and it makes the video look like a comedy. In addition, he puts on his jacket and hat and keeps taking them on and off throughout our video which we didn't realise. This makes the video look even less realistic than it does as he keeps on changing his costume throughout.
     - Another problem with our video is that the band are performing to calmly and slow, when they should be more enthusiastic and have a fast tempo to reflect the song. This is both down to the band not moving as fast as they should and being enthusiastic, and down to our editing, we need to speed up the tempo of the editing to make it raise the tempo of the video so it reflects the style of the video.
     - There needs to be more emphasis when playing, especially with the drums and guitar as these are the main two instruments that are heard in the song, and therefore we need to film them more often, and when they are playing, they need to put more effort into it when they are playing. This especially goes for the drumming as it is highly recognisable in the song, and therefore he needs to play it with more effort.
     - It would also help if the lead singer (Derry Foran) learnt the words fully to the song. He knows most of them, but at times he isn't as confident with them so he doesn't 'sing' them as clearly, which makes the music and our performance lose the connection as it begins to look out of tune due to him singing out of time.
     - We need to work on the costume of the band, the reason for this is that there was a variety (T-shirt, Plain Shirts & Hawaiian Themed Shirts). This doesn't appeal to our audience in the video, especially as we are trying to create the image of the Courteeners as they reach out to the same audience that we are trying to. We need to make them wear plain shirts so that they all look like a band collectively, as this will help the band look like they are together, and it will create a realistic and professional look.
     - In addition, we unnecessarily used microphone stands in front of Finn (Lead Guitarist) and the bassist (Will Jones), and this led to their being a restricted view on them playing their instrument. Next time we need to ensure that the only microphone and stand that is being used is for our lead singer so that you get a clear view of all the other band members.
    - We need to try and recreate the filming style that has been used by the cameramen for Jools Holland, when The Vaccines made their first performance on there, playing the songs If You Wanna and Blow It Up (as shown below).

Reflection Post A.R.

Reflection Post
  • There has been a lot reflection we've had to do this week, due to us taking into consideration how we are going to improve our music video and what we are changing. As we received our feedback and discussed ideas between one another, we realised the amount of problems that we were dealt with for our draft, and it allowed us time to reflect on what to do for our final video.
  • We have recently decided that it would be best to use an actual drummer for our final video, and the reason for this is that it will help us to make the video to look more realistic as he will be able to learn the song and play it in time, whereas the 'drummer' we used before was unsure so it didn't look professional and realistic.
  • After sorting out all of the problems, we have decided to book our video in for the 21st November Friday, and this is because it will gives us two weeks to edit our video and finalise it so we can sort out our editing issues and gain consistent feedback so we can edit it to the best effect and make it look more upbeat.
  • We have decided to use the same venue as last time, and the reason for this is that we liked the help we were given with the lighting, and we are going to use this to strong effect and use it as a key feature of our new video.

Idea For Front Left Panel A.R

Digipak Improvements
Original -

Improvements -

I have had to make minor changes throughout it, but the major changes that I had to chance was the front left cover (bottom right in the image above). I had difficulties getting the mosaic design in the same colour as everything else.

I have been interested in trying to fit this design in my digipak, and I originally had the idea from a band called Autechre, and their album Exai. I was interested in the weird and interesting cover of their image, and I felt like I would like to add something like that to my digipak in some way. I then went on to see the cover for Policia's album , Shulamith. I found this to be very different, and the pixelated image really appealed to me and I felt intrigued by the design. Although I have been already set on the front cover for my design, I felt like I should add a design like this into my digipak. As someone who takes an interest in Joy Division, I have always found the album Unknown Pleasures to be one of the most significant album covers of all time. I really like the idea of having a small image placed onto a plain background. From these designs, I was able to come up with an idea for the one panel that I was struggling with, and I feel as though it suits the audience that I am aiming for this digipak to be aimed at as of the bands and images that it is related to.

Autechre, Exai -

Policia, Shulamith -

Joy Division, Unknown Pleasures -

I was able to create this, however I wasn't entirely happy with the way it looked when stretched for the square, so I had to make some alterations to it.
This lead to my final design of the digipak and this panel being altered to be turn out like it has done below.

Problems With Filming

Problems When Filming
The first problem we faced was the fact that the camera that we were borrowing from Will's friend wasn't charged up which meant a lot of the time was wasted by charging the camera up, and this also led to us rushing when actually filming which meant that the shots that were taken were of a poor quality due to us rushing. On top of that, for our shots, we were only able to take one or two of each shot due to the time we had left after the wasting of time when charging the camera, and we needed to rush through it before the camera ran out of battery.

We are going to use the school camera next time we film for our final draft, and the reason for this is that we can be taught how to focus this camera so that the shots are clearer, and it will allow us to be responsible for it so that we can charge the camera and make sure we have no qualms whilst filming our video.

Another problem was the fact that this venue didn't have a backstage, and as well as that, due to the constant changes that were being made, many people lost interest in turning up so we realised we wouldn't have much of an audience, this led to us having to just film the band at this location and get the shots that were possible. Consequently, this led to us having a lot of problems to solve last minute once again. After editing the draft footage, we have come up with a solution to try and recreate a video similar to Arctic Monkeys - I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor where they are playing on the stage, but there isn't really an audience. This means we could hire the same place out and get every single shot in 3/4 hours to save us from having to go to a numerous amount of places when we can get it done in the same location in one day, it makes it more realistic.

Venue Changes

Venue Changes
Although we were originally, and throughout the whole research we were thinking of Lock 42, in the last few hours before we were meant to be filming we faced a lot of problems. When enquiring about Lock 42, we were told that it would be fine to hire out the venue and just ring a few days before. However we did this, and we were told that are a lot of items in storage so we should check whether it would be possible, but we were told there isn't a lot of room at all.

As I (Alex Rhodes) was in town this day, I went to enquire about the possibility of using The Cookie Jar. This then became our chosen venue as we had it all sorted with the owner and they allocated us a time from 11-2 which would have been enough time to film a higher quality video. However, we received an email the day before we were meant to film (we were meant to film on Friday 25th October) saying that it wasn't going to be possible (the image below).

This lead to us making calls all day on the Thursday to try and sort another venue out. The only other one we felt met our requirements was The Soundhouse in Leicester, however this didn't have a backstage which is what we needed, and therefore we need to go somewhere else to get the backstage shots.

Advertisement Draft A.R.

Advertisement Draft

Digipac Draft A.R

Digipac Draft

Advert Draft W.J

Advert Draft

For the design of my advert poster, I wanted to keep the same sort of theme as my digipak. I did this because it means that people would be able to recognise the album easier as they have seen it before and remembered it. Most bands use this technique when designing their advert for the same reasons being that they want people to associate the two. The advert features the exact same picture that is displayed on the front cover as my digipak. The reason for doing this is because it is the face of the bands album and what they would be identified for. The bands name 'The Franks' is also advertised on this poster as it is presents who the band is so people become familiar to the name and take it in. The text also uses the same font as the one on the digipak, mainly so it is consistent throughout and doesn't look odd or out of place. It also makes people relate that font the the band as it is not used a lot. The colour scheme of this advertisement uses just a simple black white and grey colours in order for it to relate to the digipak, and because I believe it make it look more sophisticated and professional.

Digipak Draft W.J

Digipak Draft

In terms of design for my digipak, I had decided to go for a fairly simple black and white theme. I decided on this because I believe it makes albums look more sophisticated and original. The front cover of my album (far right) I have used one of my own photographs of the lead sing and lead guitarist. I have edited the picture into a light shad of black and white, I have also turned the picture into cimetrical squares that make up the picture. I was inspired to use the squares for my picture by one of Ikara Colts albums called 'chat and business' which features squares on the front of the album. Below the picture reads the bands name 'The Franks' which is also the   title of the album as it is their debut album. The font that was used for the text is called Engravers MT, I appointed it because I believe that it adds an indie affect, which is the genre of music that we are focusing on. The same font is kept the same throughout the whole digipak, I did this because I wanted to be consistent and not go out of my theme. For the rest of the panels on the 1st side I have decided on using a light grey colour as the backgrounds as it was the original colour of the background of the picture that is used on the far left. The track listing panel displays the tracks that are on the album, I used the black font because it made the text look bold and stand out in front of the grey background. The copyright text at the bottom of the panel presents who produced the album and who the record company was. The far left panel is a simple picture of the lead singer and arguably the face of the band that doesn't feature anything else otherwise it may distract people away from the image itself.

For the second side (inside) of my digipak, I have decided to keep them same theme of that on the other side of the digipak. On the far right panel, I determined to use it as a special thanks to the people who helped record the album such as the band members and producers etc. I placed this text in the bottom right hand corner of the panel as you will often find that indie genre albums tend to go for non conventional ideas, and this could be considered as unconventional. The text is also the same as that on the front of the digipak so it is consistent yet again. For the middle panel, where the CD would be placed, I decided to use a bold black and white pattern, seeing as the the whole album uses straight lines and geometrical shapes, I wanted to make it match with the rest of it. The picture that is used as the far left panel is a larger and more reveling picture of the one that is used on the fist side of the digipak. This picture is also made up of squares and almost distorts the picture as it takes you longer to take in what it is. However, with this picture it is obvious to see that it is larger and fills the whole panel, instead of just the center.

Digipak Research

Digipak
For the front cover of my digipak I used inspiration from the album 'Chat And Business' by the indie band 'Ikara Colt'. I liked that album as it used very simple geometric white squares which I believed looked effective and stood out. However, instead of using white squares I have decided to use a picture of a couple of our band members and make it up into the squares onto a black background. This is because I wanted them to be recognised as the band. Another album that inspired me to choose this design was the album 'More Songs About Buildings And Food' by 'Talking Heads'. This is because the album cover features lots of little squares to make up the picture, this is the same sort of idea I have for my album cover. The album 'Atlas' by 'Real Estate' was also a big inspiration to me as it uses the same idea and style that I have in mind. This is because it features an image that has been altered to be made into a square pattern image. I would also want my picture to have a black and white effect as when other bands such as Joy Division and Arctic Monkeys have used this, they have made it look sophisticated and refined. The font that I want to use for my digipak is a bold and clear font. I was inspired by this because of 'The Vaccines' first album 'What Did You Expect From The Vaccines?' where they use a striking and bold font. For the far left panel I am going to use a picture of the lead singer of our band. I have determined this because I have looked and enjoyed when other artists such as The Clash and The Kinks have done the same as this as I believe it simple but effective. For my track listing panel I am going to use a dark grey background, which will match the the black and white picture as they will be the same shade. For the font I want to use the same font as the cover however it will be in a bold black. I was motivated to do this after seeing how well it had worked on the Arctic Monkey's album 'Suck It And See' where they do a similar thing.

On the other side of my digipak I want it to look very simple and straightforward and use the same theme of that on the front panels. The Beatles's 'The White Album' is where I got my inspiration from as they also use a very simple and not so cluttered layout and design. So this made me want my panels to have less going on and look neat and clean. That is why I have chosen two plain panels for the back inside and left cover. Using the same theme, for my cover inside I want to use a more enlarged image of the one that is used on the front cover. I want the image to be recognisable so I have to make sure I show their faces and don't distort them.

Digipak & Advert Design Draft and Ideas A.R

Digipak Design

For my digipak design I have aimed for a simple design to enable it to keep the audience interested, rather than having an over complicated version which would cancel out a large audience instantly. In a vast amount digipak designs aimed at an 'indie audience', they have tried to keep to a simplistic design which I have been heavily impressed with, and it has lead to me wanting to try and recreated this design myself. For my draft, I was struggling to try and get the bottom left panel to be the same colour as the others, and as I was struggling last minute I decided to keep it like this so that I can show the idea that I am aiming for, and I will be able to spend more time on trying to get this design matching the same colour as the rest of the album.

For the colour of my design, I was inspired by the sky colour in the album which was actually released by the Courteeners for their most recent album Concrete Love.  I feel as though this colour stood at me and it makes the album look interesting rather than a dull white or black. Below the picture shows the album cover, and it wanted to make the colour slightly similar and have it consistently showing throughout digipak as well as the advert.

As you can see in my digipak design, I have decided to go for a ZigZag design throughout, and I received this inspiration from both the Charlie Brown character, and as well as this I came across the logo for the band Weezer, which also stood out which is why I feel I have decided to go for this certain design.

Above is an image of the Charlie Brown cartoon, and this is where I originally had the idea of consisting my digipak of a neat zigzag. Although it isn't the same colour as what my digipak is, I believe this helped me to develop my idea for it as I was able to expand on the concept. In addition, I also thought of  the idea because of the Weezer icon, and this helped me to consider the zigzag approach that I was looking at doing. The negative of the Weezer icon is that it has the two extra lines around the top of the W, which wasn't what I was planning on using so I had to take that into consideration and decide not to use it.

For my font, I had seen this album by The Black Keys, and I liked the way that it was a plain simple album cover, which stood out at you straight away. I Feel as though this simple design would stand out and suit within the indie industry which I am aiming for this album to fit in with. I have tried to be consistent wit this font and use throughout the whole digipak design, as well as the advert. I have found that this font suits everything and by being consistent with it, it makes the whole concept of the advertisement of the album look simple.

Advert Draft

For my advert design, I have mainly gone for the idea from The Vaccines advert for What Did You Expect. I like the the idea of the simplistic design as I believe for the audience I am aiming for, they would prefer a simple design rather than a complex design with many different things going on. In addition, I decided to use popular magazine that indie scenesters would read so that they can relate, and it would have more of a selling point as they could relate and see that it has had good reviews from magazines that they read, and would then think this album may be something.

As the image above shows,  I have used the ideas from this advert such as the way they have laid the text out for name of  the album, and the way that they have included the reviews as well. This was important as it could allow the audience to relate to it if they read the magazines that have given this album a good review. Again, I like the simple look of it, and this has helped for me to get an idea of what I wanted to create with the simple design rather overcomplicate  things by putting too much on it. In addition, I also like the way that everything is based around the text (of the album), so that when the audience view the person, the first thing that they will see is that. This helps as a selling point because it instantly sticks out to the audience and they may recognise the name and want to buy the album.
